Thanks for sharing such MIT thread aimed at supply chain.

I really appreciate the comments on the shift of sourcing models from traditional compliance to new commitment,each of which is built on the specific conditions over past years. However,we keep seeing somehow compliance still employed by MNC now in some specific regions which are normally influnced by local characeteristics and cultures rather than complete commitment philosophy.(e.g Ford in China).

Btw, the model of Normal Distribution still proves its wide application in every aspect of the society,ranging from the analysis of supplier, quality statistics to operating profits in a specific market.
